Our Client: Dr Peta White

Dr Peta White

Dr Peta White is a lecturer in science and environmental education at Deakin University.

She has over 20 years of experience as an educator in many forms such as a: classroom teacher, program coordinator, curriculum consultant and manager, teacher educator, and recently as a pre-service teacher educator.

Her education background comprises of science and education with her most recent qualification (2013) a PhD in philosophy from the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. She attained this whilst living and working in Canada for many years before moving back to Australia.

Her interest in science and education has also led to her to participate in as well as lead projects that involve getting students engaged with science. Current examples of this are by organising and hosting many teacher and student workshops to continue her drive to create more innovative hands on activities to get students connected with science.
