Socio-science is a branch of social sciences. It looks at the relationship between aspects of science and the communities surrounding it. This idea is observed throughout this section of this website, as the activities here include a controversy map, debates and a role play activity for students to do. In this section there is a bigger emphasis on what nanotechnology can do to contribute to society in a general context, and considerations of the dangers that could potentially occur because of nanotechnology. This topic focuses on observing the “impact on society” nanotechnology could possibly accomplish.
